About

Vyv Hope-Scott is an artist and composer based in Bristol, UK. His work is mostly abstract, with an underlying sense of landscape and architecture. Images often exploit different surface textures using mixed media and found objects, and there is some interplay between his musical work and his paintings.  He draws on influences of many 20th Century artists, from the Spanish painters Antoni Tapies, Eduardo Chillida and Pablo Picasso to Albert Irvin, Sigma Polke, and Cy Twombly.
He regularly shows work at the Annual Open show at Royal West of England Academy,  as well as local galleries including Hidden, Grant Bradley, and Innocent. In 2017 he was one of six featured artists in “Which Way is Up” at Ruskin Mill.
